Hello Scouts and Parents:
The weather cleared up nicely for camping and star gazing. A bit cold yet for Mr. Fidler.
This week we have TLC (troop leadership council) and advancements at 7:30. For those of you in leadership we will be planning the remainder of this leadership term and working on our plans for camporee. For those of you working towards first class this is an opportunity to corner troop guides and get your book signed off. New Scouts, we will work the tenderfoot exercise program tomorrow night.
Camporee is around the corner March 2,3&4. We will camp at Camp Strake. Lots of fun activities for all. Permission slips will go out next week.
SPL elections are March 5. If you are thinking about running for SPL please let either Mr. Angevine or I know about your plans before election night.
Have a great week!

We will have TLC Monday night at 7 pm. William tells me we are working on Biking and Geocaching. A full meeting will follow TLC at 7:30. The program is built around the things we will do on our camping trip.
Jason Thorn’s Eagle Court of Honor is Feb 4 at the Hut at 4 PM. Jason is now an active Jr. Assistant Scout Master his achievement of the rank of Eagle demonstrates his dedication to the values of scouting.
Scout Sunday is Feb 5. We will meet at the Hut at 8:30 and cook breakfast for the church that sponsors us. I hope to see you all there. All will participate, some of you are welcome to join me as I attend worship with the congregation at Plymouth United Church.
We are camping at Brazos Bend on Feb 10-12. The permission slip is attached. It is due Monday February 6. Parents, we will need two vehicles to pull trailers this trip. Naturally as we base camp we will take our troop trailer and then also a lighter trailer full of bikes and perhaps some firewood. It will be a good time of bike riding and time spent at the observatory there. Mrs. York could likely use a headcount so we might have a sign up tomorrow night (allows us to purchase observatory tickets in advance).
Boys, Senior Patrol Leader elections are around the corner (first Monday in March). If you are Life Scout and would like to lead the troop for the next term, make sure you discuss your intentions with either Mr. Angevine or me.
